Dear DH2026 Bursary Committee,
I would like to kindly request financial support to attend the DH2026 conference in person and present my paper, “From Genes to Tokens: A GWAS-Inspired Approach for Interpretable Stylometric Analysis.”
Unfortunately, due to the current geopolitical situation, participation presents serious logistical and financial challenges for me. Because of sanctions, there are currently no direct flights from Moscow to South Korea, which significantly increases travel costs and complexity. In addition, international financial restrictions make it difficult to transfer funds from Russian bank accounts to foreign institutions, including conference registration systems and travel services.
For these reasons, I would be deeply grateful for any bursary support that could help make my participation possible. Attending DH2026 in person would be an important opportunity to present my research, engage with colleagues in the field, and contribute to ongoing discussions on interpretable computational methods in the Digital Humanities.
Thank you very much for considering my request.
Sincerely,
Dmitry Pronin
