⚠️ Security Notice: Phishing Scam Targeting DH2026 Participants

We have received reports that fraudulent (“phishing”) emails impersonating DH2026 and its organizers are being sent to conference participants. These messages falsely claim to handle hotel reservations and travel arrangements for the conference and attempt to collect personal information and payment.

Example of a known fraudulent message

  • Sender: ops@gtravelservice.com (posing as “OPS GTE”)
  • Subject: “Reservation Confirmation in Daejeon, South Korea – July 27–31, 2026 – Daejeon Convention Center”
  • Content: Requests hotel-booking details, travel information, and payment

The senders appear to harvest presenters’ email addresses from public conference pages and published abstracts, then send unsolicited “reservation” emails at random. This is a common form of academic-conference fraud, sometimes called a “housing pirate” scam.

Please remember:

  • For accommodation, DH2026 works only with officially designated booking partners, which are listed on our official hotel reservation page.
  • We will never ask you to provide credit-card details, make payments, or submit personal travel information through unsolicited emails or external links.
  • Any official information about accommodation, registration, and payment is published only on our official website and sent only from our official account.
